How To Use This Site

Introduction

Anyone may use this site, however, by creating a free registration, you will be able to use the features found here more easily and have access to special features, such as being able to:

vote on which songs will be made into new arrangements
make and respond to posts or comments
receive notifications of updates and news
access special, registered user only pages

Because the official Hirasawa Susumu / P-MODEL site uses a different registration system, members of the official site are asked to please create a new registration for use on this site.

How Do I Become A Registered User?

Please use the following page to create a new account (user name and password). If using a Japanese keyboard, please note that user names must be in half-width, alpha-numeric characters (normal, single-byte English characters from A-Z, a-z, and 0-9, including hyphens and underscores).

Voting Page (Top Menu)

This is the page containing links to the categories for voting. Currently open polls or closed polls are indicated by red text. Click on the album cover icons to access the current results of each poll (for each album and song title). If the album is currently open for voting a link will be provided to continue on to the voting page. Future polls will not show links until they are open for voting, though voting is expected to open in order of each album's release date. Please see the site index for a comprehensive look at the entire site.

Making A Request For Songs To Be Re-Arranged

The "Kangen Shugi Remakes" will be the songs that you choose by voting on this site. It is necessary to log in as a registered user in order to cast your votes.

Songs that are open for voting are arranged by the method of their original release. For example, songs from albums are located under each album title, while songs released on singles and other media are listed under the "Other Releases" category. However, whether or not different versions of the same song will be available for nomination is unknown at this time.

For each category, one user may vote for only one song, one time (for example, you may vote for only one song per album). To vote for a song, please click the circle located on the left side of each song title then click the "Vote" button. In order to view the results of each poll, please click the "View Results" button.

Voting Results

This is the page where the results of the polls can be seen.

Under the "Poll" heading, you can see how many votes were cast for each song title in each category.

Under the "Status" heading, you can see whether or not Hirasawa will choose to remake the songs, depending upon the color of the circle next to each title:

green green = accepted
yellow yellow = on hold (being considered)
red red = rejected
gray gray = neutral (undecided)

Even though a song has been marked as "accepted", the final decision will be up to Hirasawa as to whether or not to include it on the upcoming album.

Below the voting results you will find links to the "Current Information" and "Past Information" sections of the latest updates and comments. In the event that there are no comments or updates, no links will appear.

Current Information

This is the area where you will find progress reports and uploads posted by Hirasawa himself and/or his staff, concerning the progress of current works. It is not the place to find or post comments from listeners or other members. This category can be found under the "Voting" page.

Past Information (Uploads)

This is the area where you will find already completed works by Hirasawa Susumu / P-MODEL, such as documents, photos, sound files, and movies. It is not necessary to upload files in order to participate, but feel free to use this section as a bulletin board for members to post and discuss movies, concerts, reports, etc.

Comments may be posted by registered members only, and will be posted at the discretion of the moderator. Once posted, comments may not be edited or deleted except by the moderator.
Please read the guidelines for posting before leaving comments.

Comments and contributions can also be made on the "Green Page" of Hirasawa's original home page, "NO ROOM". Please feel free to participate there as well.

Directions For Uploading

(1) Select a category.

Please choose the correct category to upload files. Please conform to the same categories as those found on the "Voting" page (ex: categorize by "albums", "singles", or "other" works).

(2)Title your post / file.

(3)Enter a short description of the file.

(4)Choose a file.
Please select a file (image, sound, video, etc.) from your computer by clicking the "Browse Files" button.

(5)Submit the post.
When you are finished, please click the "Submit" button. Before you make your final submission, you may preview your post and change the orientation of any image files.

You may upload as many as 5 files per post. Simply click the "Multiple File Upload" button in order to choose and submit files #1-5.

Creating Links For Large Image Or Movie Files

You may also link to files hosted elsewhere on the Internet. After following steps 1-3, simply copy and paste the URL of the file's location into the submission form.

If your file is hosted on YouTube or a similar video clip hosting site, please link to the location on the original site. Please paste the link into the "Plug-In URL Parameter" field

For example: http：//www.youtube.com/watch?v=abcdefgh

In the above example, you only need to paste the character string that follows the equal sign (the "abcdefgh" part, noted in red text) into the "Plug-In URL Parameter" field.

Troubleshooting

What if I forget my user name or password?

In the event that you lose or forget your account information (user name or password) a new one can be issued to you through the following page. The information will be sent to the email address attached to the original account registration.

What if I don't understand something?

If there is something about the site that you don't understand, please fill out the following form on the NO ROOM site with your question and an explanation of the problem.

In the event of a technical issue on the site (for example: an inability to access links or images), please also note the program, browser, and operating system that you are using to view this site from your computer.
